I often get the feeling that people think me and my wife are just hanging out and or they still can’t believe were married when were out and about. Maybe because looks alone were total opposites. I really don’t care what people think and we can’t go no where without getting looks, but I do really fucking hate it when people stare, and by stare I mean look more than 3 seconds. That’s normally countered by me with the “WTF are you looking at you fuck, mind your own fucking business” stare right back at them.
Anyway it is what it is, I mean most people’s first stereo type impression of me is I’m some pissed off looking country redneck (I’m half white half Filipino, the only Filipino redneck I know of), just how I talk and the way I dress, and well my wife is black. Then again I didn’t realize that the way I dress or how I talked had any bearing on the type of women I like or who I fell in love with. Being my wife is Natural, I often ask black women how long they have been Natural, mostly the first response is a short state of shock because I’m the last person most think would ask or even know about that. Normally I get what do you know about being natural, I follow with the same answer I always give “oh I know just a little bit about it” (mind you it’s in a southern accent) But I guess what got me thinking about it was when I was driving earlier to the Virginia War Memorial I seen 2 VCU students walking while I was at a red light, white guy and a black girl walking together, talking, smiling and what not. Guess that just reminded me of me and my wife.
But that’s just a tad bit about my experiences with folks while out and about, and a bit on my views on just the type of women I like. It is what it is, and I am who I am, and I ain’t scared to say I like black women and y’all are some beautiful women.
I am not a fan of country music at all, I pretty much despise the modern stuff. But I tell you what over the years listening to the country/western music from the 50’s through early 70’s my momma listens too, now that was and still is some damn good music. Here is probably my favorite song from back then by Marty Robbins “El Paso”
