Years have gone by since I uploaded this video onto youtube. But finally one of my riding video’s is my number 1 video in my google analytics. It’s a very great thing to see the work I put into my riding video’s being noticed finally.

For those who watch motorcycle racing and payed attention to the 2009 World SuperBike Championship, well we all know Ben Spies went in there and just wrecked house on the international circuit in that series in his Rookie Year at that. And being I’m an American I took great pride in seeing another American get er done.

I don’t believe I ever posted this photo on Tumblr before. This was my first mountain ride when I moved back to Virginia when I left Active Duty Navy in 2009.
Now how I ended up going on this ride well that was unplanned. Basically I had been all over google maps looking for roads in Goochland/Powhatan Counties in Virginia to ride. So I was making my way up SR 711 (Huguenot Trail) and as I came up upon the intersection of the 711 and 522, there was a BP gas station on my right. 2 guys with motorcycles at the pumps, they heard me coming down the road, and one guy just threw his arms up at me. So I went around and pulled into the BP and asked if they knew some good roads. Basically I was told we’ll that’s where we are going, and so it began for me, the at least 100 trips up to SR 56 along the part named “Crabtree Falls HWY” and many other roads in the western part of Virginia.

Note* Once time me and a buddy counted what we considered turns on google maps, and I think the 10 or 11 miles stretch of this road that goes through George Washington park I know we counted over 200 turns.

Pictures from last years Mid Atlantic Ducati Day at VIR with Cornerspeed. No I do not ride a Ducati, the event is open to all bikes.

Miss doing that!

Ah summer of 2011. Me and my wife and our daughter trailer’d my FZ1 to the mountains. I was hoping that my wife would get some good shots with my at the time new DSLR camera still photo’s and video. (In case you don’t know I was making motorcycle video’s and other video’s at one time and taking lots of photo’s) Anyway this is a pull off on RT60 just outside of Buena Vista, VA. Very nice road with nice turns and a good surface. This was right before I loaded up and we headed back home, it was already hot as fuck when this pic was taken, and to the point of becoming unbearable to keep riding in leathers in the heat and humidity, just couldn’t stay hydrated long enough before sweating it out. But it was fun, I miss those days, the FZ1 hasn’t moved in over 2 years, but I still have not sold it, maybe next year it will make a come back.

New Year’s Day Ride 2009,

Happy I was able to find the original version of this online at another site I had uploaded at one time, so I then downloaded then re-uploaded a original version back to my youtube since copyright stuff forced me to change the music a few years back. But now it’s kick ass once again with some U2 for some tunes.

Oh and this was shot with a bullet camera up in then decending from the Sierra Nevada mountains when I was stationed in California.

Route 60,
you and me shall meet up once again in the future.

I still can’t believe it’s been over 14 months since I last rode my motorcycle. This was one of the last riding video’s I put together before I left, My 2011 Riding Review. But at the same time I cannot wait to start filming again and putting together video’s.

Throwing it up for “4theriders” those guys are awesome, glad I found em 4 years ago, and sad to hear they may not be able to continue doing full time anymore.

Sunday Ride

300

Did my last long group ride to the mountains today. I personally rode around 330 miles from my house and back. It’s always nice to see the riding buddies and meet new ones. Road on some good roads, took some pictures, no one crashed, tires gripped well considering how cool it was in the mountains, and had a damn good lunch at Devils Backbone off the 151.
